About Our Himalayan Harvest
The Wild Honey Himalayas Story
High above the clouds in the rugged valleys of Nepal, nature preserves one of its rarest, most potent treasures: Wild Mountain Cliff Honey.
For centuries, the indigenous Gurung tribes have scaled sheer granite rock faces reaching heights of up to 12,000 feet. Armed with handmade bamboo rope ladders and natural wood smoke, they harvest the golden combs of the giant Himalayan bee (Apis laboriosa)—the largest honeybee on earth.
Our Three Distinct Mountain Blooms
- Wild Cliff Honey: Foraged on high-altitude red Rhododendron blossoms, creating an earthy, rich nectar loaded with natural protective bio-active enzymes.
- Wild Berry Honey: Sourced from sub-alpine slopes carpeted with wild Himalayan blackberries, raspberries, and seabuckthorn, delivering tart-sweet vitality and natural Vitamin C.
- Wild Peach Honey: Crafted during the gentle spring bloom of organic mountain peach and apricot orchards, yielding a velvety, delicate nectar renowned for soothing evening calm.
Direct-from-Source Ethics
We work directly with traditional cliff hunting cooperatives in Nepal, ensuring fair wages, ethical harvesting practices that leave sufficient comb for bee colonies to thrive, and zero dilution at any stage of the journey from mountain to jar.
